Theme : The Altar
Remember to pray.
The golden altar before the veil symbolized the ministry of prayer (Ps. 141:1–3; Rev. 5:8). God’s people today don’t stand before the veil: they enter the very presence of God. We need the “fire” of the Holy Spirit or our prayers are heartless (Rom. 8:23–27). Prayer is special, and we must not treat it as common (vv. 34–38).
Remember you are ransomed.
They were not redeemed by paying money, nor are we (1 Pet. 1:18ff.); but paying the annual half-shekel reminded them of what God had done for them. The silver was used to make the sockets for the posts of the tabernacle (38:25–37). The foundation for everything is redemption.
Remember to keep clean.
Like the priests, we are washed once at redemption, but we must keep clean in our daily walk. If they became defiled even while serving the Lord in the holy tabernacle, what must happen to us as we serve in an evil world!
Remember to honor the Holy Spirit.
Praying the Scripture
- The altar of incense (v. 1) represented the Son of God in his human nature, and the incense burned thereon typified his pleading for his people. The continual intercession of Christ was represented by the daily burning of incense thereon, morning and evening. Paul also said, “Christ Jesus is the one who died– more than that, who was raised– who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. (Rom 8:34) So if you are discouraged, remember that Jesus Christ is interceding for you even today. Let’s pray that we will not give up, but we’ll forget the past and strain forward to what lies ahead (Phi 3:13).
- The tribute was half a shekel (v.13). The rich were not to give more, nor the poor less (v.15); the souls of the rich and poor are alike precious, and God is no respecter of persons (Act 10:34; Job 34:19). In other offerings men were to give according to their worldly ability; but this, which was the ransom of the soul, must be alike for all. The souls of all are of equal value, equally in danger, and all equally need a ransom. The money raised was to be used in the service of the tabernacle. Those who have the benefit, must not grudge the necessary charges of God’s public worship. Money cannot make atonement for the soul, but it may be used for the honor of Him who has made the atonement, and for the maintenance of the gospel by which the atonement is applied. How was your giving? Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. (Gal 6:7)

要记得祷告
幔子前的金坛象征着祷告的事工(诗141:1-3;启5:8)。今天,神的子民无需站在幔子前:他们可以直接到神面前。我们需要圣灵的“火”,否则我们的祷告将是冷淡的(罗8:23-27)。祷告是特别的,而我们绝不能视它为理所当然(34-38节)。
你要记得自己已蒙救赎
以色列人不是用钱赎回的,而我们也不是(彼前1:18 FF);但是,每年奉献半舍客勒是要提醒他们神为他们所做的一切。这银后来也被铸造成带卯的座(38:25-37)。救赎是一切的根基。
你要记得保持洁净
如同祭司一样,我们得蒙救赎时已被洁净,但我们也需在每日生活中持守圣洁。如果他们在神圣的帐幕侍奉时都会被玷污了,那在这邪恶的世界里我们将成什么样呢!
你要记得荣耀圣灵
用经文祷告
- 香坛(第1节)代表神儿子的人性,所以烧香就代表基督为自己的子民祈求。早晚不断的烧香就如基督不断地代求。保罗也说:“谁能定他们的罪呢?有基督耶稣已经死了,而且从死里复活,现今在神的右边,也替我们祈求。”(罗8:34)所以,如果你感到气馁,请记得耶稣基督今日也在为你祈求。让我们祈祷,叫我们不会放弃,忘记背後,努力面前(披3:13)。
- 每个人的赎价是半舍客勒(第13节)。富有的无需奉献更多,贫穷的也不得奉献更少(15节),因为穷人和富人的灵魂都一样的珍贵,而神是不偏待人的(徒10:34;伯34:19)。在其它奉献上,人要根据自己世俗的能力和财富;但是,灵魂的赎价皆是等同的。所有灵魂都有着同等的价值、同样需要救恩,有着同样的赎价。所收集到的银子最后也用于帐幕的铸造。金钱是无法为灵魂赎罪,但它可用来荣耀那作了赎罪祭的,也可用于赎罪祭的福音上。你是否奉献呢?不要自欺,神是轻慢不得的。人种的是什么,收的也是什么(加6:7)。

Theme : The Work of Salvation
We have been washed.
The blood of Christ has cleansed us (Rev. 1:5–6), and our past is gone (1 Cor. 6:9–11). Sinful hearts are purified not by religious rites but by faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 15:9; Titus 3:5).
We have been clothed.
We stand in the very righteousness of Christ (Isa. 61:10; 2 Cor. 5:21) and wear the garments of God’s grace (Col. 3:1ff.).
We have been anointed.
We have the Holy Spirit living within (2 Cor. 1:21; 1 John 2:27), and He enables us to minister.
We belong to God.
Praying the Scripture
- Aaron and his sons were to be set apart for the priest’s office (vv. 1-37) with ceremony and solemnity. Our Lord Jesus is the great High Priest, called of God, anointed by the Spirit, clothed with glory and beauty; sanctified by his own blood; made perfect, or consecrated through sufferings (Heb. 2:10). All believers today are also spiritual priests. We are to offer spiritual sacrifices (1Pet 2:5), washed in the blood of Christ. We are also clothed with the beauty of holiness, and have received the anointing (1John 2:27). This consecration signifies the admission of a sinner into the spiritual priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. What a salvation that the Lord has achieved for us.
- A lamb was to be offered upon the altar every morning, and a lamb every evening (vv38-46). This typified the continual intercession which Christ ever lives to make for his church. Though he offered himself but once for all, that one offering thus becomes a continual offering. This also teaches us to offer to God the spiritual sacrifices of prayer and praise every day, morning and evening. Our daily devotions are the most needful of our daily works, and the most pleasant of our daily comforts. How about you? Are you devoted to God on a daily basis? Let’s pray that we do that with a joyful hearts.

我们已得洁净
基督的宝血已洁净我们(启1:5-6),而我们的过去也不再复返(林前6:9-11)。败坏罪恶的心不是由宗教仪式洁净的,乃是因信耶稣基督得洁净(徒15:9;多3:5)。
我们披上公义
我们已站在基督的公义里(赛61:10;林后5:21),并披上了神的恩典(西3:1 FF)。
我们是受膏的
我们有圣灵的内住(林后1:21;约一2:27),而祂使我们能参与服事。
我们是属神的
祭司的耳朵(听神)、手(事奉神)和脚(与神同行)已被血“抹上”。 早晨与黄昏“常献的燔祭”是要提醒他们要全心、不断地向着神。不要忘了你每日也需将自己献上给神(罗12:1-2)。
用经文祷告
- 亚伦和他的儿子以庄重的仪式,将自己分别出来,担任祭司的职分(1-37节)。我们的主耶稣是伟大的大祭司,由神呼召、圣灵受膏、披上荣耀和美丽、并以自己的宝血得洁净,因受苦难得以完全(希2:10)。今天,众信徒亦是属灵的祭司。我们需要献上被基督宝血洁净的灵祭(彼前2:5),也要披上圣洁的荣美,并有主的恩膏(约一2:27)。这样的奉献代表一个罪人得着属灵的祭司职分,可以藉着耶稣基督来献上神所悦纳的灵祭。主为我们完成了多么伟大的救恩啊!
- 祭司每天早晨和黄昏都需献上一只羔羊(vv38-46)。这代表着基督不断地为祂的教会祈求。虽然祂将自己一次献上,但这祭已成为常献的燔祭。这也教导我们每天都要以祷告和赞美的灵祭献上给神,每天早晨和黄昏不住的献上。每日的祈祷是我们一日工作中最需要,也是每日安慰中最悦心的。你呢?你每天都向神祷告、赞美吗?让我们祈祷,我们能以乐意的心把自己献上。

Theme : The Priesthood
The priesthood was both a privilege and a responsibility. It was wonderful to wear the glorious garments and be in the holy courts, but being a priest also brought serious obligations.
They ministered first to the Lord.
Four times in this chapter, God emphasized “to serve me as priests” (vv. 1, 3, 4, 41). God’s servants must seek to please Him alone (1 Cor. 4:1–7). We must be “bondservants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Cor. 4:5).
They ministered to the people.
God’s people are like jewels to Him (Mal. 3:17). Our great High Priest carries us over His heart and on His shoulders. He represents us before the throne of God so that we are “accepted in the Beloved” (Eph. 1:6).
They ministered together.
Praying the Scripture
- The holy garments not only distinguished the priests from the people but were emblems of that holy conduct which should ever be the glory and beauty, the mark of the ministers, without which their persons and ministrations will be had in contempt. They also typified the glory of the Divine majesty and the beauty of complete holiness, which rendered Jesus Christ the great High Priest. But our adorning under the gospel is not to be of gold and costly array but the garments of salvation, the robe of righteousness. Today all believers are priests. Peter said, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. (1Pe 2:9) Let’s pray that we will glorify the Lord with our heart attitudes and righteous conducts.
- The chief ornament of the high priest, was the breastplate, a rich piece of cloth. The name of each tribe was graven in a precious stone, fixed in the breastplate, to signify their preciousness in God’s sight. How honorable were these believers! Regardless of how small and poor the tribe was, it was as a precious stone in the breastplate of the high priest; thus all the saints are dear to Christ. The high priest had the names of the tribes, both on his shoulders and on his breast, which reminds us of the power and the love with which our Lord Jesus pleads for those that are his. He not only bears them up in his arms with almighty strength, but he carries them in his bosom with tender affection. What comfort is this to us in all our addresses to God! Let’s thank God for his love for us.

神在本章中四次强调“给我供祭司的职分”(vv.1,3,4,41)。神的仆人必须单讨祂的喜悦(林前4:1-7)。我们因着耶稣的缘故必须成为主的仆人(林后4:5)。
他们事奉百姓
神视自己的子民如宝石一样(玛3:17)。我们伟大的大祭司把我们扛在祂的肩上,也放在祂的心里。祂在神的宝座前代表我们,使我们能“藉这爱子得蒙救赎”(弗1:6)。
他们一同事奉
在他们的事工上,神提供了他们一切所需的。神圣的帐幕里没有竞争或混乱,因为他们服事同一位主,遵从同一个命令。神已为我们各人预备自己的事工,并将装备我们来按部去行。
用经文祷告
- 圣衣不仅将祭司从百姓中分别出来,它也象征了圣洁行为,永远美丽、灿烂。这也当是牧者的标志,否则他们的人格和事工将遭人鄙视。圣衣也代表了那位神圣尊荣之王的的荣耀与全备圣洁的荣美,叫耶稣基督能作我们伟大的大祭司。但是,我们今日所披上的福音不当是黄金和昂贵的装饰,乃是以救恩为衣,以公义为袍。如今,所有信徒皆是祭司。彼得说:“惟有你们是被拣选的族类,是有君尊的祭司,是圣洁的国度。”(彼前2:9)让我们祈祷,叫我们能以心里的态度和公义的行为来荣耀主。
- 大祭司主要的装饰是胸牌和一块质地极佳的布。每个支派的名字都刻在宝石上并镶在胸牌上,象征着他们在神里面的珍贵。这些信徒是如此光荣啊!无论该支派有多贫穷或弱小,它都是大祭司胸牌上的一块珍贵宝石;众圣徒皆是基督的挚爱。在大祭司的双肩和胸前,有着十二个支派的名字,这提醒着我们主耶稣为凡属祂的人祈求,使我们得着力量和爱。祂不仅以全能的双臂将我们扛起,祂也以爱怜将我们拥入怀里。这对我们来说是极大的安慰啊!让我们感谢神对我们如此的爱。

Theme : The Altar
The tabernacle was not a gathering place for worship but a place for sacrifice and holy service.
Sacrifice.
The first thing one saw was the brazen altar, for no one can come into the presence of God until sin has been dealt with (Lev. 17:11).
Separation.
Shining.
Praying the Scripture
- In the court before the tabernacle was an altar, to which they must bring their sacrifices, and on which their priests must offer them to God. It was of wood overlaid with brass. A grate of brass was let into the hollow of the altar, about the middle of which the fire was kept, and the sacrifice burnt. It was made of net – working like a sieve, and hung hollow, so that the ashes might fall through. This brazen altar was a type of Christ dying to make atonement for our sins. The wood had been consumed by the fire from heaven, if it had not been secured by the brass: nor could the human nature of Christ have borne the wrath of God if it had not been supported by Divine power. Do we confess our sins daily as the Lord has taught us (Matt 6:12)?
- The pure oil (v.21) signified the gifts and graces of the Spirit which all believers receive from Christ, the good Olive, without which our light cannot shine before men. The priests were to light the lamps, and tend them. It is the work of ministers, by preaching and expounding the Scriptures, which are as a lamp, to enlighten the church, God’s tabernacle upon earth. Blessed be God, this light is no longer confined to the Jewish tabernacle, but it’s a light to lighten the gentiles and for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Let’s continue to pray for our pulpit that the Lord will bless the preaching of His word and draw people to worship Him in truth and in spirit.

- 帐幕前的院子里有个祭坛;百姓必须把祭物带到祭坛上,而祭司也必须在祭坛上将祭物献于神。祭坛是皂荚木以铜包裹所制造的。铜网下达到空坛的半腰是献祭的地方,而底下的盆就是火的所在。这片铜网就像筛子一样,悬在中央,而坛上的灰就会掉入底下的盆。铜祭坛代表着基督为我们赎罪而舍命。皂荚木若没有铜的庇护,它早已被从天降下的火给烧尽了;同样的,如果没有神圣全能的守护,基督的人性绝对无法承受神的忿怒。我们是否有按主所教导,每日承认自己的罪呢?(太6:12)?
- 清橄榄油(21节)象征着所有信徒从基督(好橄榄)而来的恩赐和恩典;如果没有基督,我们就无法照在人前了。祭司负责点灯并看管它们。这就是牧者的事工,而他们需要借着宣讲和解释圣经,将这灯台点起,教导教会;教会就是神至今的帐幕。神是应当被称颂的,因为这灯再也不仅限于犹太人的帐幕,也照耀世界各地的外邦人,成全救恩。让我们继续为我们的讲台祷告,求主祝福讲台并带领人以心灵和诚实敬拜祂。

Theme : The Veil
Ten curtains, fifty loops, fifty clasps, forty sockets, twenty boards, two veils—yet it was one sanctuary: “That it may be one tabernacle” (v. 6); “That it may be one” (v. 11). Diversity, yes; but unity in diversity. We are reminded in 1 Cor. 12;4-6 that there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
There was only one plan for the tabernacle, and it came from God (v. 30). Man’s cleverness and wisdom may bring success in the things of the world (Luke 16:8), but they will destroy the work of the Lord (1 Cor. 3:16–23). Be sure you get your plans from heaven and not from the world.
There was one set of measurements for the building (v. 2). When we measure ministry by God’s standards, we will have unity, but if we use our own standards, there will be division.
They used only the materials that God told them to use. In 1 Corinthians 3:10–16, read about building with the proper materials that will endure. Note the emphasis on gold in chapter 37, silver in chapter 38, and precious stones in chapter 39.
The sanctuary was indwelt by one glory, the glory of God. When man brings in his glory, there is division. Jesus prayed that His people might be one (John 17:20–23). Are you helping to answer that prayer? [1]
Praying the Scripture
- God manifested his presence among the Israelites in a tabernacle. The curtains of the tabernacle were to be very rich. They were to be embroidered with cherubim, signifying that the angels of God and it should remind us how holy and sacred is our Lord. Do you fear Him? Let’s pray that we understand and fear Him.
- There was a veil that separated the holy place from the most holy place (v33). It was hung upon the pillars. This veil was a partition between the holy place and the most holy; which forbade any to look into the holiest of all. Today we have now boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. Are we grateful for the work of Jesus Christ on the cross? Let’s thank Jesus Christ for His precious provision for us to draw near to the throne of grace.

十幅幔子、五十个钮扣、五十个金钩、四十个银座、二十块板、两幅幔子,齐制作为一个圣所:“成了一个帐幕”(6节)、“使罩篷连成一个”(11节)。是的,结构很多,但多元一体。这让我们联想到了林前12:4-6:恩赐原有分别,圣灵却是一位;事工也有分别,主却是一位;功用也有分别,但在各事上赐予每人力量的神,却是一位。
整个制作过程只用了 一套测量的标准(第2节)。当我们用神的标准来衡量事工时,我们必能团结一致,但如果我们用的是自己的标准,纷争必然掀起。
他们只用神所 指定的材料。哥林多前书3:10-16说到,只有以适当材料建造的工程才能存得住。请注意37章所强调的金、38章的银,以及39章的宝石。
圣所内住一个荣耀,即神的荣耀。当人把自己的荣耀带进时,就会引起纷争。耶稣祈祷祂的子民都能合而为一(约17:20-23),而你是否在回应这祷告呢?

- 神在帐幕中向以色列人彰显了祂的同在。帐幕的幔子当是极为丰富的。它绣着基路伯,象征神的使者,也提醒我们主是何等的圣洁与神圣。你敬畏主吗?让我们祈祷,叫我们能晓得并敬畏祂。
- 柱子上悬挂的一幅幔子,将圣所和至圣所隔开(33节)。它划分两地,禁止人们直接看到至圣所。今日,借着耶稣的宝血,我们竟能坦然无惧的踏入至圣所。我们是否为耶稣基督在十字架上的工作感恩呢?让我们为耶稣基督所赐下的宝贵供应,叫我们得以亲近那施恩宝座而献上感恩。

Theme : The Tabernacle
An offering.
God could have made the whole tabernacle by Himself in an instant of creative power, but instead He asked the people to bring Him their offerings. The Israelites were privileged to make a sanctuary for God. Today, we are also helping to build His church, and we must use only the best materials (1 Cor. 3:9–23). Are you giving willingly to God what He has given to you?
A pattern.
God gave Moses the pattern for the tabernacle just as He later gave David the pattern for the temple (1 Chron. 28:19). When God wants a work done on earth, He has a plan for His people to follow. It is dangerous to turn from God’s plan and follow the wisdom of this world (1 Cor. 3:18–20).
The ark was the throne of God in the Holy of Holies, and God’s glory dwelt between the cherubim on the mercy seat (Ps. 99:1). Our mercy seat is in heaven (Heb. 4:11–16), and the way is always open to God.
Praying the Scripture
- God chose the people of Israel to be a special people to Himself, above all people, and He would be their King. He ordered a royal palace to be set up among them for Himself, called a sanctuary, or holy place. There He showed His presence among them. The people were to furnish Moses with all the materials by their own free will. The best use we can make of our worldly wealth is to honor God with it in works of piety and charity. Pray that we have cheerful, not grudging hearts, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7)
- The candlestick (vv. 31-40) represents the light of God’s Word and Spirit, in and through Christ Jesus, to direct their worship and obedience, and to offer them consolations. Exodus 25:40 is an expressed caution to Moses. Nothing was left to his own fancy, or to that of the workmen, or the people; but the will of God must be observed in every way. Christ’s instruction to his disciples (Matt 28:20) was also the same, “Observe All things whatsoever I have commanded you.” Do you obey all that Christ has commanded? Pray that we not only read through the entire Bible but also observe the commands of the Lord.

模式

法柜是神至圣所的宝座,而祂的荣耀就坐落在二基路伯之间的施恩座(诗99:1)。我们的施恩宝座就在天上(希4:11-16),而向神敞开的门永远都在。
用经文祷告
- 神在全地之上拣选了以色列人成为自己的特殊子民,并作他们的王。祂命令要在子民中间为自己建造王宫,称为圣所,或神圣之地。,祂将在那里向他们显现自己。百姓们当向摩西自愿地奉献所需的材料。至今,我们能在世俗的财富上荣耀神的最佳方式,是敬虔与善行之举。让我们祷告叫自己能有一颗乐意慷慨的心,因为捐得乐意的人是神所喜爱的(林后9:7)。
- 灯台(31-40)代表圣灵与话语借着并在基督耶稣里的光照,引导百姓敬拜和顺服神,也从中得到安慰。出埃及记25:40特别嘱咐摩西要谨慎行事。在一切事工上,人都无需发挥自己的想象力,唯有在各方面遵行神的旨意。基督对众门徒的指示也一样:“凡我所吩咐你们的,都教训他们遵守”(太28:20)。你是否遵行基督所有的吩咐?请祷告,我们不仅要通读整本圣经,也更要遵守主的命令。

You would think verse 11 would read, “So they saw God, and they fell down and prayed.” But it says, “They ate and drank.”
Praying the Scripture
- The promise of the Lord in Exodus 6:6–8 was now about to move into its third phase. God had redeemed His people (Ex. 1–18), taken them to Himself as His people (Ex. 19–24) and now He was about to come and dwell among them and be their God (Ex. 25–40). The Lord redeemed us from sins and wants us to be holy so that He can dwell among us. Sadly, so many “Christian” after being saved, went away from God and refused to draw near to him. Do we enjoy the intimacy with God? Do we worship Him in truth and spirit? Do you love Him with all our hearts, strength and might? Let’s pray that you come to God to worship him with gladness.
- Notice how Moses led them to draw near to God. After offering, Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins and half of the blood he threw against the altar. (Ex 24:6) Then Moses took the blood and threw it on the people and said, “Behold the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.” (Ex 24:8) Do you see how this foreshadowed how Jesus Christ would shed His blood in order for us to draw near to God? Ephesians 2:13 wrote, “Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Eph. 2:13) So let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb. 4:16)

Theme : Outworking of Law in daily Life
God’s law shows that He is concerned about everything: men, women, children, the unborn, property and even animals. This is His creation and He has the right to tell us how to manage it. The Law did not change people’s hearts, but it did help to control their conduct and give order to the nation. Laws and government have been instituted by God and we should respect them (Rom. 13).
Praying the Scripture
- These principles have been severely criticized by some as being “barbaric” but it’s just the opposite. In an age where there was no the legal system, this law made sure that the punishment meted out by the judges was equal to the seriousness and severity of the crime, not more and not less. If the guilty aggressor blinded his enemy’s eye, then his own eye was blinded. Nothing could be fairer. The sentence must fit the crime. Let’s pray for our government that they will do their duty as God intended.
- Justice is the practical outworking of the righteousness of God in human history, for “the Lord loves righteousness and justice” (Ps. 33:5; see Isa. 30:18; 61:8). There may be a great deal of injustice in our world today but the time will come when God will judge the world in righteousness by the Savior that the world has rejected and His judgment will be just (Acts 17:31). Let’s pray that we will be patient and wait on the Lord rather than take things into our own hands.
- When Jesus prohibited His disciples from retaliating against those who hurt them (Matt. 5:38–44; 1 Peter 2:19–21), He was dealing with personal revenge (“I’ll get even with you!”) and encouraging personal forgiveness. As believers, we have the privilege of waiving our “legal rights” to the glory of God and not demanding compensation (1 Cor. 6:1–8). Are you willing to forsake your right for the glory of God? Let’s pray that God’s glory is more important in your heart than your own right.

这里所列的一些惩罚看似苛刻,但我们要记住,这时的以色列国正处于“童年”时期(加4:1-7),而孩子借着奖惩制度学习是最佳的。 40年后,当新的一代诞生了,摩西重申律法时所强调的则是爱(申4:37;6:4-67;6-13)。爱,完全了律法(罗13:8-10)。

- 有些人苛刻批评律法原则为“野蛮”,但事实恰好相反。在这个没有法律体系的时代中,这些法律确保法官所实施的惩罚,是与罪刑的严重性同等,不多也不少。如果罪犯弄瞎了敌人的眼,那他自己的眼睛也要被刺瞎。这是最合理、公平的对待了。惩罚与罪刑必须同等。让我们祷告,叫我们的政府可以按神所立定的制度尽他们的责任。
- 司法是神的公义在人类历史上的实践,因为“耶和华喜爱仁义公平”(诗33:5;赛30:18;61:8)。今日的世界仍然有许多的不义,但是神已经定了日子,要藉着祂所设立、那被世人拒绝的救主,按公义审判天下(徒17:31)。让我们祈祷能耐心等候耶和华,绝不擅自自行报复。
- 当耶稣禁止祂的门徒向加害他们的人报复时(太5:38-44;彼前2:19-21),耶稣是在针对个人仇报(“我会向你报复!”),并鼓励个人的宽恕。作为信徒,我们可以不要求赔偿,享有放弃个人的“合法权” 之特权来荣耀神(林前6:1-8)。你愿意为了神的荣耀,弃绝你的权利吗?让我们祈祷能在心里重视神的荣耀,轻看自己的权利。

Theme : Ten Commandments
The Law does not save sinners (Gal. 2:21; 3:21); it reveals God’s holiness and man’s need for salvation (Rom. 3:20). It is a mirror that shows us how bad we are (James 1:22–2), but it does not provide the cleansing we need. Only Christ can do that.
Under the old covenant, God’s law was written on tables of stone (Exod. 24:12), but under the new covenant, God writes His word on our hearts (2 Cor. 3:1–3). As you meditate on the Word, the Spirit makes it a part of your inner being, and you become more like the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 3:18). The Holy Spirit enables us to fulfill the righteous demands of God’s law (Rom. 8:1–4).
The first four commandments deal with our relationship with God, while the last six deal with our relationship with others. If we love God and obey Him, we will also love others and serve them. (See Matt. 22:34–40).
Some people obey God because of fear (vv. 18–21). Others obey only because they want His blessing. The highest motive for obedience is our love for the Lord. But what if we disobey the Lord? God made provision for Israel in the prescribed sacrifices (vv. 22–26). He has made provision for believers today through the work of Christ (1 John 1:9–2:2). Believers are not under law but under grace. This is not an excuse for sin but an encouragement for loving obedience to His will.
- The privilege of freedom brings with it the responsibility to use that freedom wisely for the glory of God and the good of others. The law was never given as a way of salvation because “by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified” (Gal. 2:16). Salvation is not a reward for good works but the gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom. 4:5; Eph. 2:8–9). The Law reveals the nature of God. Knowing who God is, do you know how to live your life to please Him? Pray that you do.
- God is a “jealous God,” not in the sense that He’s envious of other gods, for He knows there is no other gods. The word “jealous” expresses His special love for His people because He wants the very best for them. Just as parents are jealous over their children and spouses over their mates so God is jealous over His beloved ones and will not tolerate competition (Zech. 1:14; 8:2). God desires and deserves the exclusive love of His people (Ex. 34:14; Deut. 4:24; 5:9; 6:15). Let’s pray that you love God with all your heart, soul and might.

有些人因惧怕神而顺服祂(18-21节);有些人是想得到神的祝福才顺服祂。然而,我们顺服主的最大动机是爱。但是,我们若犯罪了该怎么办呢?神为以色列预备并规定了赎罪祭(22-26节)。祂也通过基督的工作为今天的信徒预备了赎罪祭(约一1:9-2:2)。信徒已不在律法之下,乃在恩典之下活着。这并不是给予我们犯罪的借口,而是鼓励我们由爱顺服神的旨意。
寺庙妓女在寺里袒露、与寺庙妓女性交是许多异教仪式的一部分,而这些都是主明确禁止的。神吩咐犹太祭司穿戴特殊的衣服以遮掩下体(出20:26;28:42-43;利6:10),而他们若不听从,他们有可能被神击死(出 28:35,43)。

- 自由的特权也附带责任,这责任就是要我们明智地使用这自由来荣耀神,并为别人的益处着想。法律从来就不是救赎的一种方式,“因为凡有血气的,没有一人因行律法称义”(加 2:16)。救恩不是好行为的奖励,它是神借着人对耶稣基督的信靠所赐下的恩典(罗4:5;弗2:8-9)。律法启示了神的属性。我们若晓得神是谁,那是否也已知道如何过一个讨神喜悦的生活呢?让我们祷告我们确实知道。
- 神是一个“忌邪的神”(英译“嫉妒”),这不是说神羡慕偶像,因为祂晓得世上别无它神。“嫉妒”这词表达了祂对子民特殊的爱,因为祂要祂的子民们得到最好的。正如家长为子女、配偶为对方嫉妒一样,神也为所挚爱的嫉妒,所以祂绝对不容许任何竞争对手的存在(亚1:14;8:2)。神渴望也配得到祂子民单一的爱(出34:14;申4:24;5:9;6:15)。让我们祈祷,能够尽心、尽性、尽力爱我们的神。

Theme : Set Apart
A special people.
At the Red Sea, God separated His people from their old life; at Sinai. He brought them into a new life – a covenant relationship with Himself. It was like a wedding ceremony, with God as the Husband and Israel as the wife. Whenever the nation turned from God to idols, God accused them of committing adultery (Isa. 1:21; Jer. 3:1–5). Believers today must also beware of this sin (James 4:4). The church is a nation of kings and priests (1 Pet. 2:5, 9) called to glorify God.
A sanctified people.
Because we belong to God, we must be separated from sin (vv. 10, 14, 22). God’s people are set apart from the world and unto the Lord.
A submissive people.
Praying the Scripture
- Although Aaron and his sons would be consecrated later to serve as priests to the nation (Ex. 28–29), but it was God’s intent that all Israel live as priests, manifesting His truth and sharing His blessings with the world. Unfortunately, instead of Israel influencing the nations to worship God, the nations influenced Israel to worship idols! The Jews adopted the religions and lifestyles of the Gentiles and so desecrated themselves, their land and the temple so much so that God had to chasten them severely and send them into Babylonian captivity. Are you influencing the people around you or are you being influenced by them? Let’s pray that we are blessing to them.
- Exodus 19:6 tells us how a nation was born. It was the Lord who brought them out of the bondage of Egypt and make them free so that they can be holy people. Holy people means people who are set apart; people who are different. In every area of life, Israel’s activities were governed by the fact that they belonged to God and that included what they ate, what they wore, who they married, how they buried their dead and especially how they worshiped. Are you being set apart?
- Quoting Exodus 19:6, Peter said you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1Pe 2:9) Let’s pray that we proclaim his excellencies to all.

一群圣洁的子民
因为我们属于神,所以我们必须与罪隔绝(vv.10,14,22)。神的子民必须从世俗中分别出来,归回耶和华。
一群顺服的子民
为要使人确确实实的敬畏祂,神在西乃山上展示了自己的能力,并警告他们不要靠近。这民族好比正处于童年时期一样,犹如孩子,他们也需从奖惩制度中学习。希伯来书12:18-29也拿这个例子与今天的新约信徒做比较。我们必须敬畏耶和华,并尊重祂所立的界限,但神也要我们“亲近”祂(希10:19-25)。以色列人不是因为他们顺服、遵守法律而从埃及获救;他们的顺服乃使得他们能够享受神所预备给他们的祝福。

- 虽然亚伦和他的儿子日后将被分别出来,作以色列国的祭司(出28-29),但神也要所有以色列人都像祭司一样,彰显祂的真理并与世界分享祂的祝福。不幸的是,以色列国并无影响其它国家来敬拜神,反倒受到他们的影响崇拜偶像!犹太人接纳外邦人的生活方式和信仰;他们是如此地亵渎自己、家园和神殿,以至神必须严厉管教他们,并让他们被巴比伦人囚禁为奴。你是否有在影响你周围的人呢?或是你受到他们的影响呢?让我们祷告,我们可以给身边的人带来祝福。
- 出埃及记19:6告诉我们一国是如何诞生的。主使以色列人摆脱埃及的束缚,让他们重获自由,成为圣洁的子民。圣洁的子民指的是分别为圣的人,有别于他人。在生活的各个方面,以色列人所做的一切都是因着他们是属神的缘故,而这包括他们所吃的、穿的、结婚对象、埋礼仪式,特别是他们如何敬拜神。你是否已将自己分别为圣呢?
- 彼得引用出埃及记19:6:“惟有你们是被拣选的族类,是有君尊的祭司,是圣洁的国度,是属神的子民,要叫你们宣扬那召你们出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德”(彼前2:9)。让我们祈祷,能向所有人宣扬神的美德。
